 Pedagogical objectives

 to allow the discovery of the reinvented percussion instruments of CréaSon;
 to encourage students to create their own musical instruments and their own musical parts;
to induce young people to recycling and protection of the environment.

 Suggested pedagogical activities
Before the coming of Créason in your school

Organize an activity to make percussion instruments with household objects. Ask your students to bring in class objects which will help them create their instruments.

  • Here are some suggestions:
  • Don't hesitate to let your imagination ride and invent your own instruments!
Material and objects suggested
Cardboard boxes of all sizes ( details: television cardboard boxes have a resonance comparable to the resonance of a drum when it's closed.)
Cardboard tubes (tip: carpet sellers are a good source of supplies!)
Chinese sticks
Bamboo stems (the ones used to make skewers)
Keys of all kinds ( don't use your home keys! Ask your locksmith, he probably has some he can spare for you)
Old cauldrons and stoves
Chips boxes
All kinds of rice, beans and grains
Adhesive tape (2 cm)
Tennis ball boxes ( are many in tennis club garbages!)

Whistles

See directions for use
Once the instruments are made, the students have to present their instruments to others in turns
